AME Automation evolved from a British Coal Electrical
Apprenticeship and Engineering Training scheme, achieving the Institute of Mining Electrical and Mining
Mechanical Engineers Honours and receiving the William Morris Memorial
prize in recognition of obtaining the highest marks in all three technical
papers.
AME Automation went on to achieve a First Class BEng Honours
in Electronic Computer Systems from Salford University.
Specialising in Software Engineering and Development, academic achievement
was again acknowledged with the award of the Course Prize for the highest
marks of the year.
Having originating from a practical, Engineering background
and continuing in self pursuit of academic achievement, qualified for the
Sir Joseph Whitworth Scholarship and subsequent award of the title
“Whitworth Scholar”, an excellent indicator of a person’s aspirations and
outstanding future potential.
Having that rare mix of practical and academic ability, combined
with progression through the ranks from Electrical Apprentice, through
Control Systems Designer to Project Manager, has provided challenging and
multi-skilled experiences.
Being able to participate on numerous, varied projects, in
hands-on, supervisory and managerial roles, in new and unfamiliar
environments, has developed both depth and breadth to the knowledge and
understanding imparted.
Having worked in the role of the Vender, the Sub-contractor
and the Client, has enhanced and reinforced the development of our
communication and commercial awareness skills to ensure the successful
execution and implementation of any project.
One common factor to always emerge from our assignments is
being requested to further extend and expand our duties and responsibilities.
As an apprentice trained, degree qualified, multi-skilled,
Charted Electrical, Process & Safety Control Engineer, we bring the
experiences, abilities and enthusiasm to enhance your daily business
activities and to ensure the successful delivery of plant modifications,
enhancements or new build projects.
At AME Automation we pride ourselves on having a great
interest and enthusiasm for all aspects of our work and anything that we
can not do today we will learn how to excel at tomorrow.
